I am a handsome (come on now, let's be honest) 2 and a half year old male ferret(yes I'm missing
my parts, but what does that matter?). I have a beautiful sable coloring, big black eyes, and a cute little pink and
brown mottled nose.
For a living, my job is to be the "poser" or "model" for my parents. If the camera is on, I'm
trying to show my best side. My mom and dad say I'm full of myself, but really, I just know how cute I am, it's their
fault-they tell me how cute I am all the time!!! In my ferret family I'm the alpha male, or "big man on campus".
I'm the boss, and I show my brothers and sisters by scruffing them like our ferret mommy would and dragging them around.
They don't really like it too much, but someone has to show them who's boss, and we all know that it's me. :-)
I spent my first few weeks of life on a farm somewhere with my ferret mom and siblings, and then
I was shipped off to the Petco in Ellicott City where my human mommy found me. She brought me home one Friday night
in May of 2003. I curled up with her on the couch for a couple of hours, and then she let me play on her bed and check
out everything. She hadn't met our daddy yet. I remained the only weasel for about a month before Charlie came
along. During that time, I taught my mom a lot about ferrets. She had no idea how much work I could be, how rewarding
I could be, or how quickly I'd steal her heart.
On July 5, 2008, our sweet boy Frankie crossed over to the rainbow bridge. He was the ripe age of 5 years old,
and had recently been diagnosed with insulinoma. Thank you for teaching me everything I never knew about ferrets Franks,
and thanks for being Mama's sweet boy and leading the pack. They love you and miss you, I can see it already.
A little spot in my heart will forever be empty and except for last night into this morning, I will only have great memories
of my little carpet shark and weasely thief. We love you sweetheart. Go find Wolfie and Toby, they'll help you
and protect you until we meet again.
